Niagara Falls Fireworks 2026 — Dates, Times & Best Free Viewing Spots

Fireworks run Fridays and Sundays at 10:00 PM from late May through October. All promenade spots are free. Canada Day (July 1) is the biggest show of the year — arrive by 8:30 PM.

The 2026 Fireworks Schedule

Niagara Falls fireworks are managed by Niagara Parks and typically run on Fridays and Sundays at 10:00 PM from late May through early October. Holiday weekends (Victoria Day, Canada Day, Labour Day) have additional shows.

Canada Day (July 1) has the biggest show of the year. Arrive by 8:30 PM to get a spot on the promenade.

Schedule details are confirmed by Niagara Parks each spring — check niagaraparks.com for exact dates, as weather cancellations happen.

Best Viewing Spots (Canadian Side)

Table Rock Welcome Centre: closest to the falls, best for photos that combine fireworks with the falls spray. Gets crowded — arrive 60-90 minutes early on summer weekends.

Oakes Garden Theatre: the terraced park between the Rainbow Bridge and Clifton Hill. Slightly less crowded than Table Rock, excellent unobstructed views.

Skylon Tower: $17 observation deck. The aerial perspective shows fireworks reflected in the mist cloud. Book the observation deck, not the revolving restaurant (overpriced for what you get).

Any hotel room with a Fallsview designation facing the falls will see the fireworks without leaving the room.

The Illumination

The falls are illuminated by LED floodlights every evening from dusk until midnight (1:00 AM on weekends and holidays from May to October). The colours change every few minutes.

The illumination is arguably more impressive than the fireworks. The mist turns into a glowing column of colour that's visible for kilometres. The effect is strongest on humid evenings when the mist is thick.

Fireworks are launched from the gorge near the Rainbow Bridge. They're best combined with the illumination — arrive at dusk, watch the lights come on, then stay for the fireworks at 10 PM.
