Niagara Falls Parking Guide 2026: Where to Park, What to Pay, How to Save

Niagara Parks operates the parking lots closest to the falls. In summer 2026, expect to pay $25-$35 per day depending on which lot and how close to the falls.

Falls Lot (Table Rock): The closest lot to Horseshoe Falls. Fills by 10:00 AM on summer weekends. $30-$35/day. If you arrive after 10 AM in July or August, you will circle the lot for 20 minutes and likely not find a spot.

Clifton Hill Lots: Privately operated lots along Clifton Hill and the surrounding streets charge $20-$30/day. Some advertise lower rates but add "evening surcharges" — read the signs carefully.

Rapidsview Lot: Niagara Parks lot further from the falls (near the Whirlpool area). $25/day. Less crowded than Falls Lot but you'll need the WEGO bus to reach the main falls area.

The honest truth: if you're visiting for a few hours and willing to walk or take WEGO, you can do much better than $35.

Here's what the tourism websites don't tell you: the Rapidsview parking lot at the north end of the parkway is the smart play. Park there (included with your WEGO pass or Niagara Parks Adventure Pass) and take the WEGO Green Line bus directly to Table Rock and the falls. The bus runs every 15-20 minutes.

WEGO day pass: $12 adults, $8 children (6-12), free for 5 and under. Unlimited rides all day on the Green and Red lines. The pass pays for itself compared to $35 parking within 30 seconds of math.

The Rapidsview lot is larger and almost never fills completely. On peak summer days when Falls Lot is gridlocked, Rapidsview still has space. You trade 15 minutes on a bus for $23 in savings and zero parking stress.

Street parking in the residential areas west of the tourist district (off Portage Road and Stanley Avenue) is free but limited. Most streets have 2-3 hour limits enforced by bylaw officers. Don't risk it for a full day — tickets are $50+.

Hotel parking: If you're staying at a Fallsview hotel, parking is typically $15-$25/night on top of your room rate. Some hotels offer in-and-out privileges (leave and return same day). Ask at check-in.

Fallsview Casino: Free parking in the casino garage if you have a Players Advantage Club card (free to sign up). Even without a card, the garage is $10/day — cheaper than Niagara Parks lots. The casino is a 10-minute walk from the falls, or catch WEGO.

Marineland area (south end): Some private lots near Marineland charge $10-$15/day and are a 15-minute walk to the falls. Not convenient, but cheap.

Clifton Hill: The private lots on Clifton Hill and Ferry Street are the most convenient but also the most expensive ($25-$30). Street parking on Victoria Avenue or Centre Street is cheaper if you can find a spot.

Table Rock / Horseshoe Falls: Falls Lot or take WEGO from Rapidsview. No street parking anywhere near Table Rock.

Skylon Tower: Has its own parking lot with validated parking for diners. If you're eating at the revolving restaurant or paying for the observation deck, parking is included.

Butterfly Conservatory: Has its own Niagara Parks lot. Less crowded than the falls lots.

Niagara-on-the-Lake: Completely separate from Niagara Falls (15km north). Parking on Queen Street fills by 11 AM on summer weekends. Use the municipal lot on King Street behind the Courthouse — larger and usually has space until early afternoon. Free for the first 2 hours in some areas.

Strategy 1 — WEGO from Rapidsview: Park at Rapidsview, buy a WEGO day pass ($12), ride the bus all day. Saves $20+ and eliminates parking stress entirely.

Strategy 2 — Arrive early: If you must park at Falls Lot, arrive before 9:00 AM. You'll get a spot and avoid the worst of the traffic.

Strategy 3 — Fallsview Casino garage: Sign up for a free Players Advantage Club card and get free parking. 10-minute walk to the falls. Even without the card, $10/day is a bargain compared to everything else.

Strategy 4 — Niagara Parks Adventure Pass: Includes parking at select lots plus WEGO plus attraction entries. If you're doing 2+ Niagara Parks attractions, the pass is better value than buying everything separately.

Strategy 5 — Evening visits: Some lots drop to half-price or free after 5:00 or 6:00 PM. The falls illumination doesn't start until dusk anyway. An evening visit lets you see the illumination and fireworks without paying full daytime parking rates.

July and August weekends are chaos. There is no way around it. 50,000+ people descend on the falls area, and parking infrastructure hasn't kept up.

If you're visiting on a Saturday in July or August: use WEGO from Rapidsview or arrive before 9 AM. There is no secret shortcut. Every lot fills, every road backs up, and the traffic on the Niagara Parkway barely moves between 11 AM and 3 PM.

Weekdays are dramatically better — even in peak summer, Falls Lot usually has space until noon on Tuesdays through Thursdays.

Shoulder season (May, June, September, October) is the sweet spot: the weather is pleasant, the falls run full, and parking is easy. September in particular offers warm weather, wine festival season, and half the crowds of July.
